You Can Make a Lasting Impact for People Like Becca and Jack!
Meet Becca and Jack, who faced an unexpected challenge when the social programs they attended closed. Our Place was there to welcome them during a time of need.
Just like everyone else, Becca and Jack deserve support to lead full and meaningful lives in our community. Our Place has helped them thrive, feel included, and build meaningful friendships.
When Becca’s previous program closed, she needed a place that fit her work schedule and offered friendships and engaging activities. At Our Place, she found just that! Becca now builds life skills and enjoys cooking and community lunches with friends, growing in confidence every day.
Jack, an energetic young man sensitive to new environments, faced a similar challenge when his last program closed. At Our Place, he found a flexible schedule and a supportive community. He now stays active with friends, especially enjoying outings to the Rec Center. Jack and his family are valued members of Our Place.
There are 110 more stories like these. Our Place participants are contributing to our community, working at and patronizing our local businesses. This promotes inclusion and understanding while enriching everyone’s lives.
As other programs close or limit services, Our Place has grown by over 10% this year, helping people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) who have stories like Becca and Jack. To make sure that they always have a place to belong, we purchased our building over the summer and have secured our permanent place in the community!
Our work is far from finished. With the growing demand for our services, we ask for your support. By donating today, you’ll directly impact people like Becca, Jack, and their families.
